The Book of John

We’ve reserved a great one for our last Deeper Session to be held on our campus. We will be back in the book of John, picking up in chapter 15. Jesus is walking with His disciples, on His way to the Garden of Gethsemane, and He begins talking to His disciples about the vine and the branches. It’s an easy passage to read, but a very difficult passage to fully understand. Come with your seatbelt on and your mind and heart open. There’s a lot to learn, and a lot of encouragement to be had.

Walk Worthy

(pt. 5 of the Ephesians Series)

“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”  Eph 4:1-3

We will be returning to our study in Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians. Our plan has been to see this Letter in regard to the various themes Paul presents. In the 4 previous courses we studied:

“To the Praise of His Glory” EPH 1:1-14

“His Power… His Grace” EPH 1:15-2:10

“He IS Our Peace” EPH 2:11-22

“The Mystery of Christ & The Love of God” EPH 3:1-21

Starting in Ephesians 4, Paul moves from the “spiritual truth” of what God has done for us to the “practical truth” of how WE are to respond to this great work of Salvation in Christ Jesus. The Christian life is NOT just a matter of God’s change “within us”, it is also a matter of “how we WALK” as a new creation in Christ. Our study will include:

* What it means to “walk worthy”

* The purpose of the “5-Fold Ministry”

* What happens when the “New Man” rules in our lives
