Daily Prayer September 4 - 10 LOAVES & FISHES Remember the food drive this Sunday, September 5. Be a blessing to Loaves & Fishes by bringing non-perishable food or personal care items. HOLIDAY CLOSING The church office and credit union will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day. If you have an emergency and need to reach a minister, call 252-1611 and follow the prompts to the emergency phone line. REGISTER TO VOTE If you have not registered to vote, you can do so Sunday at the registration table in the main lobby. Sample ballots for the November election will also be available. THE WORD SHOP CAFÉ Come try a cappuccino or frappuccino (hot or iced). During the month of September, save fifty cents on any size Caramel Apple or Banana Split “capp or frapp.” SINGLE ALLIANCE FELLOWSHIP Our annual Labor Day Picnic will be Sunday, September 5, 1:00 PM at the church pavilion. Please sign up in our CrossRoads class to bring a dish to share. Dress picnic casual and bring a friend! Come have a great time of relaxation, games, and fellowship. NEW SERIES! In the Wednesday night service, Pastor Bob is teaching on The Kingdom Parables. Join us at 7:00 PM in the Chapel, but come a few minutes early to enjoy fellowship and refreshments! AWANA @ GRACEKIDS Awana begins September 8 at 6:45 PM in the GraceKids building. We’re looking forward to a fantastic year! Awana is for preschool through fifth grade. This thirteen week class / support group meets Wednesday evenings at 7:00 in the North Education Building. DIVORCE CARE for KIDS “DC4K” is an exciting new program for children ages 5-12 designed to work in conjunction with Divorce Care for adults. DC4K combines videos, games, music, crafts and activities to create a warm, caring environment and a powerful and effective ministry to children hurt by divorce. This thirteen week class will be held at the same time as Divorce Care, 7:00 - 8:30 PM Wednesdays, in the GraceKids building. If you have any questions, please call the Biblical Counseling Ministry, ext. 5600. BUSINESS LEADERS’ BREAKFAST Thursday, September 9, Lt. Col. Chuck Burks with the U. S. Marine Corps will be our guest speaker for our “season-opener” of monthly breakfasts. Lt. Col. Burks is on leave from his recent duty at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and looks forward to sharing his inspiring testimony of what the Lord has done and continues to do in his life. Join us for a delicious breakfast at 7:00 AM in the Chapel. The cost is $10, payable at the door. DANIEL AMSTUTZ will be leading praise and worship in all the weekend services, September 11 and 12. He will also present the sermon Sunday morning, September 12. CROSSROADS Do you think you can go twenty-one days without complaining about anything? Come to a CrossRoads class and take the challenge. BABY DEDICATIONS Babies are dedicated the second Sunday of the month during second service. The next dedication will be Sunday, September 12. Space is limited. Call Gwen at ext. 5201 to reserve a spot. NEW MEMBERS CLASS Our next New Members Class will be held on Sunday, September 19 at 10:00 AM in Room 1206. This is a one-time information meeting for adults who have recently joined or for those interested in joining Grace Church. HEALING CLASS Richard Foster will be teaching another Healing Class during the CrossRoads hour. It will run September 19 - October 24. LADIES GAME NIGHT Save the date! Tuesday, September 21, 6:00 PM in the Chapel Reception Rooms, the Graceful Ladies are hosting a covered dish dinner and Bunco. Food, fun, fellowship and prizes! Sign up at the iBooth.
